Re: Q Tip “goes all Keynesian”

Don`t you think those that are smart enough to run the gambit and get elected at least know the debt and deficit will be with us until they are forced to give creditors a haircut?   And then the party`s over and whoever`s in office will be their last term, unless it`s so bad that a bull crap "Ukraine phone call" will be enough excuse to remove them sooner.

China`s on the dark side of the Moon, North Korea  tests missiles, Iran is working on nukes...so do we touch military spending?  Nursing homes full of 100 yr olds, do we cut social security and other entitlements?  Elderly patients pushed out to the curb in their wheelchairs doesn`t make for a good re-election meme.

I really don`t know where you cut!  If you raise taxes, you stiffel  growth and more dependents on earned income credit.  We compete with Chinese slave labor as it is.

Then you have Bernie Sandersesque candidates promising free college, student loan forgiveness, free healthcare and jousting at imaginary windmills like man made climate change, which is like using sticks of dynamite for kindling wood.

Re: Q Tip “goes all Keynesian”

Should have gotten more out of this spectacular expansion other than a corporate tax cut so that beneficiaries can sit on the money or reward execs and stockholders. Hell, this household is a short term winner. But a burden on the next couple of generations.

The infrastructure campaign promise that has never happened for starters. Expanding so that we can continue and sustain our newfound energy independence. Making sure all little kids can read and count so they can move ahead and learn and apply more.

Re: Q Tip “goes all Keynesian”

Infrastructure should`ve been a slam dunk, Trump IS for it, Republicans that klinge to the austerity pipe dream are against it (I guess roads, bridges and dams built 100 yrs ago for Model T`s and Huckleberry Fin  and choo choo trains is all good enough in the 21st century) and Democrats spent the last 3yrs with their fingers up their butts on impeachment weren`t any help.

Perhaps Trump gets re elected and we try it again with a REPUBLICAN House and Senate and ram some of this spending through now that idiot Republicans have had a 3 year education.  Waste of time, but that`s perhaps what was needed.

Re: Q Tip “goes all Keynesian”

Calling total BS. House sent literally hundreds of passed pieces of legislation over to the Senate while a handful of members held hearings.  Infrastructure well among them. The entire House held only one vote on impeachment.

Not sure what sort of a Republican you’ve become. Hints of Eisenhower. In itself a good thing, but he had seen enough that had happened in the world in the decade before he served in the Whitehouse to disdain the mysogeny and animus that your Party clings to and is building it’s entire base loyalty around.

It was pointed out by someone the other day that the Senators who voted to acquit Dennison, prompting him to go on his “vindication “ tour and purge of public officials that is drawing heavy comparisons to ‘The night of the long knives’, represent approximately 18% of the nation’s population. FWIW.

Re: Q Tip “goes all Keynesian”

Why didn't the house send a budget. [hint] do nothing Nancy was too busy passing out golden pens on silver platters. The house has been 100% impeachment 100% of the time since the last election. If Trump is re-elected and they continue to hold the house they will once again be 100% impeachment 100% of the time. Adam Bullschiff is already talking of holding more hearings.

Re: Q Tip “goes all Keynesian”

With more and more coming out of Ukraine daily the laundry list for more hearings is exploding.

Are you aware of the BS you pass off and are doing it out of some design, indifferent to facts and truth or are you like a n Urban gang member, doing the deed out of held belief that there is something out there that has your back.

The House has been doing it’s everyday work. Passing copious pieces of legislation. A handful of members have been holding hearings and brought their findings t9 a full body that took a minimal amount of time. To act on them.

As mentioned above, contrary to the House that represents the public proportionately, a cabal of 51 people who represent 18% of the population rejected their findings.

You and your homies need to decide if you want to deal with that through the democratic process and accept the results. or all come out into the open from under your rocks all at one. Just be sure that it is a certainty that everybody else who is on board with you has their watches coordinated.

(...a cabal of 51 people who represent 18% of the population rejected their findings.)

That dang constitution - give it pelosi, she'll tear it up for you.

Re: Q Tip “goes all Keynesian”

No complaints here about the Constitution.  It’s a masterpiece. You are right. Those Senators are in their seats based on it’s directives.

Just simply repeating what I found to be an interesting statistic.

Re: Q Tip “goes all Keynesian”

Impeachment was nothing more than a chess move. Might not have been a good move.
