Back when Farm Bureau and all the farm-tax funded commodity groups were panting to get China into WTO and called in all their political cards to get it done, I was a true believer.

The smart guys of the West got this thing wrong- the notion that if you let China integrate into the global economy they'd naturally liberalize like the Asian Tigers did.

Wow - you really think Trump’s “great” trade deal has had ANYTHING to do with Ag prices?   Really?   You better check again, who it was that basically has killed ethanol.   You better check again, the wording of Trump’s “great” deal that means that China doesn’t need to buy squat from the US, unless it is IN CHINA’S BEST INTEREST.
