Question on riot

Took grandkids to DC a few years ago.  Local representative set up a tour of the Capital. Intern did a great job telling us what every part of the building and history. Grandkids ate it up.

Still remember the one thing the intern told us and she was very serious when she said it.  She told us to stay together and follow instructions. The Capital police have the authority to shoot anyone they consider a potential threat to the Capital.  The righties on here say guns are necessary to protect their homes and I will agree.  This was all of our house that was broken into, a blood bath should have been the result

Also they were in the capital for over 3 hours. Why were the rioters allowed to just leave. Should have been buses there piling all the rioters in to be taken to an intern concentration camp. And why did Trump not authorize the National Guard until hours later.

Interesting, now you want police to kill everyone, all last year when blm'ers & anteefers were rioting, looting, burning and destroying federal property you were anti-police, defund the police, police are are racist; you never said a peep in support of law enforcement.  Now you want violent protestors that swarmed the Senate building all shot and killed - of course you would also be including when the Senate was taken over during the Kavanaugh hearings that all those folks also should of been shot and killed by the Capital police - well, unless your a hypocrite.

Re: Question on riot

No Ed, not advocating anything.  Thought it strange that we were told the Capital police have orders to shoot if they believe there is a threat to the capital, think an angry mob would qualify.

Re: Question on riot

Shouldn't home owners have the same right? Or business owners? Or a person laying on the ground with a gun pointed at his head? Or a cop facing a suspect with a gun pointed at him/her? Or coming at them with a knife? Or facing a suspect who tried to take his gun away from him? Who just busted his eye socket and is now charging at him again?

Re: Question on riot

how about a police officer that is trying to keep a 6-6. 270 lb suspect under control, who has just ingested enough meth to kill a couple of horses?

Read that the biggest new group of gun owners in America is single women....they get the new parameters that they have to face, and many probably are vaguely aware of what "A Woman in Berlin" went through when the rule of law collapsed there in 1945.

All the liberal kitties....GFY.

Re: Question on riot

The Capitol cops got caught off guard, they`re at their best scaring school kids, but when a Viking and Confederate soldier come at you, well that separates the men from the boys.   They probably did pretty good in battening down the hatches, herding the worthless politicians in a room and holding that line of scrimmage, saving their worthless ässes...they did their jobs, because a mob of 90 or 250 or 10,000 come pouring through the doors and you got "12 and one in the pipe" the guard next to you has a flagpole stuck in his eye, retreat is about your only option once the front doors were breached.

Re: Question on riot

And something the dems refuse to notice is Trump supporters condemned the violence before, during, and after it occurred.

Re: Question on riot

There was a story about a Capitol cop taking selfies with the rioters, that might be a thankless deed, he might`ve been trying to deescalate tensions and buy time for everyone else to get to safety.
