I'll make a mistake here and give a serious response to your strawman trolling.

No. I support massive testing, tracing and quarantines of the infected. That is the only thing that has proven effective, as public health experts already knew.

"Lockdowns" could only slow things down until the resources for those efforts were in place. And all they did was maybe restrain the 20% knucklehead tribe who weren't smart enough to self isolate and take precautions.

Unfortunately, the POTUS says that testing will make him look bad and scare "the market". Before you strawman me for paraphrasing, he said that in his weasel way without precisely saying it.

Unless you euthanize infected people and burn their carcasses as China did, you can`t be doing any end zone dancing.  Herd immunity as much as so many of us are afraid of it will be the ultimate "solution" it`s if you want to take the long, expensive way of getting there (American way) or the short and sweet (Sweden way) of going directly there, the destination is the same.  Enter politics and the opposition party is going to play up death tallies and "mishandling" and yada yada yada.

Sweden is not building substantial herd immunity. They're just suffering the worst of both worlds in a different manner than the US.

It`s like storming the beaches of Normandy (I wasn`t there) but X% of American soldiers were going to die, however if they "sheltered in place" as their strategy then X² % would perish.   And yeah, it`s a uphill climb to get elected to public office saying "X% ain`t gonna make it".
