Re: Quite a guy this paul ryan
I was just pointing out, that not every time when someone says 'no' is it based on hate.
Maybe there just isn't the money to pay for everything.
Maybe, the cookies won't be ready until after supper.
However, once you take away the debate, and just say 'they don't agree with me because they are hateful', sounds like a 4 year old, who didn't get a cookie.
Just HOW MANY people would be hurt, by Ryan?
Would a little pain now, be better than a lot of pain later?
Bart did a very good job, at giving places to cut the budget, to get the money to pay for the social programs, but why did he have to bring in the 'hate'? When it was mentioned by Dag, that Harkin was against closing some AF bases, he was against it. Why is it Harkin does not 'hate' the poor, when he is against cutting military spending, that could be used to help the poor?
My answers to the questions?
Harkin didn't want the bases closed, because it would cut some of the Federal $$$ coming into HIS district, instead of cutting the spending in the districts of others, and hte reason he isn't being accused of 'hating' the poor, has more to do with the political party he belongs to, than anything else.

Cotman, maybe you should have deferred a bunch of last year's income, into this year, to keep yourself into a lower tax bracket.
I hear that is all the rage, with people who don't think they are paying enough in income taxes.

Re: Class warfare, democrat style
From someone, who had said that they wished that they had to pay a lot of taxes, as it would come about because they had a high income, only to defer some of that income (from last year into this year), while at the same time stating that they haven't paid enough taxes for the last 30 years, it is amusing how they will still accuse everyone ELSE of not wanting to pay taxes.

An isolated incident would not IMHO constitute a "hatred" however, look at this list and tell me that he isn't obsessed with making the national debt the property of the less prepared to handle it.
