RCP tends to be mostly a GOP/conservative digest site, more akin to Politico or Drudge, but with a moderate link thrown in now and then. But not too often from somebdy like Sheiber.

Anyways, his view on the IRS/TeaParty scandal from his perch on the left:

My question is why has "IRS-gate" been allowed to gain traction?  Don't get me wrong, it is serious but no more serious than the other 40 Obama scandals that he denied and the "press" gave co er fire. And you guys on here would write off as more tinfoil hat fodder from Breitbart and Jerry Corsi. But IRSgate seems different. My opinion is it has something to do with focus groups, people are so fed up with the one-sided reporting, it was decided to throwthe opposition a "bone" with this.

I take it you didn't read the article Bruce posted earlier about the IRS going after liberals during the bush administration.  One guy has even bragged about waiting for months to get it approved and then decided to change the name and tie it to an organization that had already been approved before and it was approved in 3 weeks!  He then made the new conservative outfit part of the first one and no one was the wiser.  Of course, they are now but nothing will happen.  I would guess that the reason more conservative outfits were trying for "social welfare" tax-exempt organizations than liberal organizations is the main reason more of them were checked!

I didnt read it nor do i doubt it, however it must have been legitimate or the "Chuck Todds" wouldve had a field day, right? Look i'm reserving judgment until all the facts are in, i dont want to see phony patriotic groups out there bilking honest people out of their money. Like jimmy and tammy faye bakker pretending to be Christian and living high off the hog off widows pension checks, the IRS shouldn't allow that. Its just us decent people have been treated so unfairly for so long, now IRSgate comes along, this is one gife horse I will look in the mouth. You libs must not'vegotten the memo that you're "supposed to let us win this one" thats why Bruce is posting this stuff:) thats okay, it probably is a red herring or it wouldnt make it to the main stream.
