Re: Replies on new format

Bruce, if you ever noticed, I always put the name of the person I am responding to at the beginning of my post. I wish more people would do that. It would make it easier. I view my threads flat. Maybe most don't?

Re: Replies on new format

The whole thing appears to be designed to generate page hits and hence more revenue.  IMO

Re: Replies on new format

Knapper, thanks. good idea. I'm gonna start that, too.

Re: Changing the Subject line if you are replying....

craig, where is the quote button and can you just "quote" part of a reply?

Sure, that's easy..... when you decide to make a reply, and you click the reply button....the "Reply to Message" page comes up.  In the upper right part of the "WYSIWYG" (What You See Is What You Get) Editor Tool Bar.....you will see the gray little boxes that say, "Spell Check" and "Quote".... click the Quote box before you begin your reply, and that will put the text of the person to whom you are replying into your reply, with the header of "SoAndSo Wrote:"

If you only want to highlight a portion of what they had written, just take your mouse....highlight the part that you do not want left of the quote, and hit the backspace button on your keyboard.  That will leave only the part that you want left, and then you can comment in your reply about that part. 🙂
