Republic of Monsanto
As per the discussion with BA whereby he , in search of a Purer Union, breaks up the US on regional/corporate lines.
Iowa would remain intact within a sovereign unit- Monsanto would encompass most of the upper and middle MW out to about 100W where ranch country starts.
Koch would get the western parts of those states along with the mountain west and thge west 2/3rds of Texas.
Indiana would be split in 3 with a wedge out of the WC part going with most of IL to Monsanto. The N would go with Chicago, Milwaukee and most of the Great Lakes rust belt and become Ford
. The Republic of Reagan gets the south of IN along with the heart of the old confederacy and appalachia along with the bootheel and little egypt tip of IL.. It is actually the former Peabody Coal Company but has been rebranded as Reagan. Halliburton blew it by relocating to Dubai.
The new world offers limitless opportunites for rebranding, mergers and acquisitions.
The NE becomes Chase, to be rebranded to somethingertheother.
Coastal middle atlantic down through the FLA penn goes to Pfizer and is rebranded The Republic of Viagra.
Google gets the west coast.
Following the collapse of the Putin petrostate in 2015 China colonized the Russian far east and later gets contiguous Alaska in return for $10T in debt forgiveness. A good deal.

Re: Republic of Monsanto
Think is a misnomer, feel is the more apt term.
That is the purpose of the game- to make people feel afraid and thus enlist their efforts in the consolidation of power.
It surely must be folly to look to corporations as the savior of your rights and protectors of your enfranchisement. After all, they're by nature quite exclusive and in the modern American context even more so- they don't even exist for the benefit of the shareholders- they are for the officers and directors- they just buy the shareholders off by either making the share price go higher or figuring out how to explain why it isn't for as long as possible while they loot it.

most of the worst corporate abuses are powers and protections government granted them. And in your fear you would like a more powerful government to protect you, is that rational?

Sam, permit me to decode what you're saying. It is unlikely but might possibly prevent you from being like a gullible white person bleeding out through their gray uniform on a Civil War battlefield.
The Government= colored folks who will get good mules
Corporations= the 1% large planters whose boots you've been brought up to lick

Re: Republic of Monsanto
Wow Nox, what you just said right there puts the final pieces of the puzzle in place. But let me expand on your government decoding: government = the colored people's boots that us working folks get to lick and "share" our wealth with.....no thank you! How bout nobody licks anyone's boots?

What we now have is a government that takes from working people of all colors and gives to the big corps you so dispise. And your answer is more government. Why?

Who grants and enforces their patents?
Sucking down cliches is easier than thinking. Obviously the cliches have not been working, try the thinking route.
