in AL, SC, FLA, TX, AZ may want to rethink mandatory mask orders if they want to stay open without a complete disaster. Although they will risk the wrath of The King and radical elements of The Base.

NC has a D Governor but a hostile R legislative majority.

CA is moving to mandatory masks.

Even if you cut the R to below 1 with masks and calls for voluntary caution, the explosion this weeks means several weeks of rising cases before the curve flattens.

Pretty much what you'd expect 3 weeks after re-opening. Although I think the thing that few probably saw coming was that the explosion would be in places with heavy AC use. In AZ they get less fresh air in the summer than I get in the winter.

Do you think these republican governors should take democrat governors advice and stuff infected people in rest homes?

                 Maybe the spike is directly from the riots and protests.

Timing is wrong, but that may show up.

It was the Freedom Is Bars and Hare Cutz!!!! crowd.

The places that had the heaviest protest turnouts aren't showing much change or are continuing on their downward trajectory.
