Riddle #1
Because most the stuff on this website is self-serving diatribe, I have decided to ask some riddles. You can cheat if you wish, but that would be self-serving as well and ....cheating. Riddles open the mind and encourage thought. They have a point and the answer is always self evident. It requires thought and may be practical or somewhat metaphorical. Answers?:
No sooner spoken than broken. What is it?

Not the answer, but I will take anything Einstein said as enlightenment. Appreciated greatly, John.

Re: an obalmo promise
While that is a possible answer - that lies are no sooner spoken than broken, a lie might survive quite a time after being spoken without being broken. This has to be no sooner spoken than broken. Excellent answer however and I might even consider it an alternate answer as one I have in mind. Very clever. That said, assuming you are correct, there is yet another more perfect and simple answer. A lie can however be spoken without being broken.
FYI, This is not a debate -win or lose situation, however, but delivered only for the purpose of palaver and discourse. There is value in that. Thought, wonder, contemplation - valuable things. Win or lose is a bludgeoning club that we need not seek here. If you can understand that.....

Not really knapper.
A lie is broken when it is spoken although one who hears the lie may not realize it's a lie.
I did not view the whole video so I apoligize if the answer is not there... but it should be.

Re: an obalmo promise
Strictly defined, a lie is a lie and thus not the truth, broken, if you will have it said thus. However there are lies, which I need not name because they are too numerous, that are not broken "as soon as spoken," except by the internal knowledge of the liar. I would think that to break a lie, one would need to supply some sort of proof and make it known, yet there are examples of lies that go on for quite some time without anyone suspecting and hardly known as soon as spoken. If the statement was something akin to "known by the speaker as soon as spoken," or something to that effect, then yes. I will accept it as an alternate answer. However, there is a far more apparent and logical, undeniable answer. Can anyone guess?

Re: an obalmo promise
the answer is in the video of akmed the dead terrorist.
The irony of me using the video to answer is I cannot listen to the video on my home computer to see if the answer is actually in the video....but it should be.
My audio doesn't work

Silence.
