Roberts crticism of Ron Paul

Of a very constructive sort, I'd add. Roberts has endorsed Ron Paul as the only candidate who supports the constitution.

http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/

"Libertarians are sectarian, and their tolerance does not extend beyond their ideology.

The biggest mistake that libertarians make is the way they view government and private sectors. Government is the root of all evil, and the private sector is the source of all good. Libertarians have never figured out that people are the same whether in the government or in the private sector. They will abuse their power regardless of where they perch. That is why government needs to be tied down by the Constitution and the private sector by regulation. Yes, regulation can go too far. Certainly, deregulation has gone too far."

Robert's solution to too much government is more government.

Your solution to government tyranny is corporate tyranny.

No, they have figured that out. The difference between the private sector and government is that the government has the guns to force you to their bidding. Founded in the constitution the government should be a neutral arbiter. Instead government has choosen sides. Are you as an individual liablely responsible for your own actions? Are the individuals in a corporation? Now ask yourself from where does corporate law originate? From government of course.

Thakns nox.  Roberts has always been inspiring.

Nutshell snip:

The ongoing financial crisis from deregulation and ongoing jobs crisis from offshoring constitute empirical evidence that the belief is false that an unfettered private sector is the source of all good.

Good stuff.

The analysis of how and when the Iranian war will happen is pretty scary.

And the comment that because the neo-cons are moving towards a world war, with nukes, they do not worry about the $15 trillion dollar debt...After Armageddon, the debts are gone.

And what if over over 2 or the over a period in our history of hundreds of decades the goernment has, as a result of having sold itself to the highest bidder, chosen the most errosive and destructive side?

Jubilee by defaut?

He!! of an accurate catch Red.  They don't see it as a problem.  All it would take is a suspension of law, and what is that to them?

There has never been a doubt about the cynical neocon view on that.  The first public figure to ever have the actual stones to say , in passing conversation, that "the deficits don't matter" was the Darth Vader of pulic policy himself, uber neocon R. Cheney.

Cheney probably learned it from krugman.
