Roger Welsch
Roger has gone into final hospice at 85 last night at his home in Dannebrog Nebraska (they believe it won't be long). Maybe one or two of you knew him from the old days of the Ag Forum when he more or less ran the Tall Tales page. Maybe you have one of his books. You may also remember him for his segments from the heartland on CBS Sunday Morning. Regardless, below is his last message to us from his Facebook page yesterday afternoon. I will miss him very much:

Re: Roger Welsch
Just as a note, as far as I know, the only one left from those old days was Craig, and he has passed away as well. Are there any old timers left besides me? I think maybe there are some and have changed their names. Mine has always been the same.
Anybody remember Roger Welsch? Surely some of you remember his Reports from the Heartland on CBS Sunday Mornings.

(Roger Welsch)
Thanks for sharing, Roger brings back great memories. I only recall his -segments from the heartland- which my parents, siblings & I looked forward too and very much enjoyed. I don't remember but may have read some of his books in my younger years as when we cleaned out dads house I ended up with several of them that mom & dad had, they are definitely on my list to read, especially now.
A life well lived.

Re: Roger Welsch
Sorry to hear about Roger, I enjoyed his segments about working on his WD Allis and looking for parts in his hometown. I`m surprised that he was 85! The world would be a better place with more like him. But he didn`t post in the AgForum, did he?

Re: Roger Welsch
I never knew him but pray for his family and friends. May God grant him peace and eternal happiness and his friends and family comfort and strength to get through this difficult time.
