Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose
Were I a graduating student, I would be far less concerned about the $25-$30K of student loan debt I had to pay back, than the $100K+ of the US national debt, that is currently owed, per taxpayer.

Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose
I'll tell you when it started, the day Dumya walked out of the White House! GM and Chrysler are alive, Bin Laden is dead, a subject by the way Dumya, "didn't really think about anymore". When Dumya, left we were hemorrhaging jobs, Obama has had 26 months of private job creations, I suppose that doesn't count, though, right? No one is satisfied, or should be, that's not enough, but it IS A POSITIVE. From where the economy was headed, you've really got to be knucleheaded to know, even though it's not where everyone, including the President thought it should be, is better than where Dumya had drove it, and where it was headed. He's really had lots of help from the GOP too, because they have shown they are more concerned about the wealthiest among us, and NOT the average middle class Americans, (that includes you!) they shouldn't be allowed near the US government.

Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose
Will you give up mortgage interest deductions on your farm or deductable interest on operating capital if John Que gives up the mortgage deduction on his house?
Just wondering if you oppose fair treatment for all.

I'll bet that most of those college age grads have not received one tenth of the government cash that you have received from the FSA over the last two decades. Farmers got their noses in the trough so deeply and the whune like hell if some of those other folks get a mere taste.
Interest rates fo student loans should be 3% at the rates that banks are paying for deposits. After all those loans are guaranteed by the US gov't.

Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose
Are you paying your 100K or are you just talking about it? Besides it won't be paid back by the 310 million live americans. It will be paid back by the hundreds of millions of americans that follow after us.
But first we have to vote out the tax cutters. Nobody in their right mind would vote a tax cut with trillions in debt.

You mean our grand children and beyond...glad you at least recognize that. Too bad we can't quit digging the hole deeper and faster than ever.

Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose
We should have ended these farm programs years ago...I'm all for that...it amazing that someone who got the fullest advantage of them also uses them to beat others over the head when he can't come up with a credible argument.
The fact is this silly student loan interest debate truly amounts to very little on the individual basis. Obama and his legion of blind followers have used it as a weapon in their class-warfare and nothing more.
