Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose

It's all business deductions. If I buy a house or a tractor or a boat, it is a business activity.

Why should you get a interest deduction and mrs housewife buyng clothes for her kids cannot deduct her credit card interest. It's a cost of doing business no matter what kind of business.

Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose

I'll call BS on the "fair and balanced" both sides have a point bit.

The Ryan plan cuts marginal tax rates but will "be revenue neutral" by closing unspecified loopholes. And it cuts virtually all non-defense discretionary spedning to nothing, again in an unspecified fashion.

Now you look at our particular "industry" as an example and tell me- do you think all the interests are going to go along with a complete end of farm programs (as compared to a token 10-20%, maybe) or put up the end of major loopholes such as near unlimited equipment expensing? Not in a million years.

Like Reagan and Bush II, they will cut taxes, increase deficits and blame the other guys.

Yes Romney wants to help america so much that he invests his multi millions overseas.  How can he urge american investment if he won't park his own cash here?

It probably is very little to a tychoon like you but when you are the low man on the totem pole and owe tens of thousands in student loans, doubling the interest rate can be a significant factor.

$30k or 40K indebtedness man seem insignificant to us that are used to paying large bills in a short period of time. People fresh out of school usually do not have alot of extra cash. To them it is more like paying a home mortgage without the home.

You folks are so used to low interest rates that you think it insignificant.  You can pay those rates because Fed has driven rates down doiwn down. Heaven help us the government is actually providing low interest for student loans while giving you thousands in FSA payments.

Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose

Bush left an economy that was losing 800k jobs a month and there could be no economic reversal until the momentem of that decline slowed. Since then the job creation has been slow and steady and certainly not fast enough.

So what could obama have done without even minimal support from the opposition party. More tax cuts? Let the auto industry collapse?  Just what wouldthe fabulous Jim B in Iowa have done to stop this train wreck before now?

GM and chrysler are making and selling cars. The auto plants are running and millions of auto workers and part suppliers are still employed. Do we need to send you a photo of that or can you figure it out for yourself.

Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose

Instituional(ized) ?  Being descendant to a huge RR right of way grant 130 or 140 years ago?  Does that qualify?

Re: Romney, Ryan and Saving the Golden Goose

What kind of kool-aid is it which convinces people the figures in the official federal budget reflects the entire military expenditures wasted on protecting our own and foreign allies/puppets/dictators, piratical businesses, drug and weapon smugglers, banksters, etc. ? ? ?

The USA already has the largest and most powerful military resources by several times over than the rest of the world combined, what kind of kool-aid is it that keeps Americans chanting those lines about we can not survive without increasing the military power we have now?  We can hit any place on the earth with nuclear weapons immediately, what nation would attack us, could attack us considering the missile defenses we have?

What kind of kool-aid is it that blinds people to the obvious fact the so-called

terrorist threat has been invented and for the purpose of using the oldest sucker deception that "the enemy is at the gates" to convince the sheeeple they must give up their liberty and wealth to the government?

Why are you all against expensing equipment out on a faster basis?  This is good short term as it creates demand for new equipment and more jobs...and its good longer term as it requires taxes on that money sooner or later, perhaps at higher tax rates.  You make it sound like businesses that use this are getting away with something...the income STILL GETS TAXED.  The equipment is ONLY DEPRECIATED ONCE.  I don't see it as a loophole so much as good business.  Of course, "loophole" makes much better sound bites for those who don't understand what you are deceiving folks about.

Or like Obama who has ran up as much in three years as Bush did in EIGHT years.  Oh, wait..thats different...that's BUSH'S FAULT!  as well, right?
