Science....incredible research

As a nod to 3020, I’m certain that if that Jenner person had been around in 536 he’s have definitely been a boy.  How long he was around would have hinged on whether he was up or down wind however.

i suppose ther was a solid 1 to 1 1/2 percent of early age scientists who were certain that what was happening actually wasn’t happening.  And, of course, the Church would have been there to reassure the starving and freezing masses that it was all part of God’s plan.

Absolutely fascinating read:

Would be interesting to know what the core samples etc. would say it was like in the Pacific and Western Hemisphere at the same time.

See you picked up on Trump’s line. Even though most of the problem is brush that is dryer from drought is main reason for the massive fires than tree management. Glad to see your “independent” thought process though

There just might be a Medal of Freedom....

....in it for 30.

After Dennison made that absolutely hideous statement a few days ago, 30 is the absolutely fist person I have heard or read to parrot it.

If there is any “management” in it it’s, while CA has the well earned reputation of being a haven for social and cultural liberalism, the place has always also been a wide open paradise for unbridled development, realty, resource allocation and land use corruption.

Lots of big bucks stuff in places it shouldn’t be.

Exactly right. And if you are going to put stuff there you need to have a plan to protect it. It's called management.

Which, then, would be an indictment of the unbridled form of which particular “-ism”?

Perhaps if they listened to the Farm Bureau, there wouldn`t be these wildfires.   There was that famous case of "Kangaroo rat sues John Deere tractor" because a property owner disced a firebreak around his buildings...but it destroyed the Kangaroo rat`s habitat.   Like a freaking wildfire won`t destroy a rat`s environment?????    That`s how damned dumb Liberals are.

https://www.courthousenews.com/socal-farmers-wantkangaroo-rat-delisted/

Riverside County Farm Bureau and the Center for Environmental Science, Accuracy & Reliability sued the Department of the Interior and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Wednesday.
The Stephens’ kangaroo rat’s major habitat is in Riverside County. Developers hate it because of the restrictions imposed by its protections, but anthropologists are charmed by it. That’s because the rats live in enormous burrows they expand and improve sometimes for more than a century. The rats love to collect things, especially shiny objects, which they bring home and keep. So excavations of old burrows sometimes provide researchers with handy collections of objects the rats stole from humans.
The plaintiffs claim in the lawsuit that “(b)ecause of the stringent land-use restrictions that the rat’s listing triggers, members of the farm bureau have seen their property values decline and have been unable to protect their property from wildfires.”

See, like it or not, Trump is right on this.

Ask the spotted owl. They know how to deal with fire. They fly away.
