Re: Season to Quit.....

Like driving a flock of chickens to alaska. They cannot even agree among themselves what they want to do. Boehnor  has three groups tp satisfy. The dems the repubs and the Bat dung crazy crowd. A fruitless enterprize and he doesn't want another shut down on his watch.

The height of arrogance!

Peter King calling a majority of the House "crazies" ...that ranks right up there with Marie Antoinette saying "Let them eat cake!".   Each and every congressperson was sent to DC to do the people`s bidding and each and every one of them are accountable to the people of their district in an election every 2 years, so they especially pay more attention to the populus.

The senate has a 6 year term and urinates all over their state for 4 years, then the 2 years before election they bring home the bacon to buy back the votes and sad to say, more often than not it works...Tom Harkin being the poster child.

Peter King probably will get away with calling his party "crazies" because in his New York, he`s probably the only game in town with the alternative being a hard left socialist Democrat.

Politicians such as Peter King are tone deaf to what the people in their district want.  Do they ever consider that the so-called "grid lock" that they hate so much was part of the Founding Father`s design to lessen the decline of the country?   Greedy knuckle-draggers can elect a president that believes himself to be a emperor, but each district can elect a congressperson to slow the emperor down. Congressman Steve King of my 4th district being a wonderful example.

What`s going on with Peter King is, he is more beholding to the donor class than he is to the people that elect guys like him...the farmers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, factory workers, anyone with calloused hands and dirty fingernails.  And now Peter King is frustrated that he won`t as easily bring home the bacon for his real constituents the donor class.
