Could someone please tell me how a more detailed background check hurts law abiding citizens?

Re: Second amendment

I'm not a political person at all, in fact I think a lot of you guys on this forum are the perfect example of politically based arrogance, and intolerance. But I guess my only question to you is why give up any right you don't have too. Plus I doubt the gun violence in Chicago and Detroit will be solved by a bunch more expensive government checks.

Re: Second amendment

None of you can answer my question. One comes up with off topic nonsense and the tries to say it wouldn't stop gun violence in Chicago or Detroit.

Wouldn't you be a whole lot happier if you just stayed in the cage at the zoo and ate bananas, and threw feces at the paying guests?

What "more detailed" are you talking about that would do anything at all?

Re: Second amendment

it would hurt because Democrats/liberals/communists/socialist would use that information to hurt people they don't like and eventually steal their guns.

meanwhile it wouldn't stop any violence anywhere.  so, if it wouldn't stop any crime what is the value in creating another government database?  why should we register gun owners and not register AIDS carriers?  after all millions of gun owners NEVER shoot anybody but on the other hand AIDS carriers continue their sexual encounters and continue to infect people.

why do you have such a desire to register normal, law abiding citizens and say nothing about registering illegals?  only a Democrat with a political agenda acts as you do.  you and others like you have no real concern for public safety or you'd be demanding that we clean out the enclaves of illegals, drug pushers, and human traffickers.

if you are willing to pass laws making law abiding citizens felons then you certainly are capable of passing laws to force cities and states to turn over their illegals and allow law enforcement to enter drug dealers abodes.

Re: Second amendment

another database of honest, law abiding gun owners would do no earthly good to anyone, except those why want to abolish private citizen gun ownership.

I would rather see a database of all the openly practicing gays over age 18 in this country.  That data would be worth collecting to lots of housing researchers, disease research, and advertisers.

Re: Second amendment

No one is asking to register people.  They are asking to do a better job on background checks to buy a gun.  You only think you know what will happen but if you could really see the future, you would have won a million dollar lottery by now.  The rest is BS.
