Re: Shinseki
Lots of finger pointing. If we want to play the 'blame game', there are other questions that could be asked, as well.
Why did the Dems in the Senate kill an accountability law, passed in the House, with a bi-partisan vote?
The law would make it easier to terminate VA officials who were derilict in their duties. Before anyone gets bent out of shape about wonton firings, they could only be fired AFTER the conclusion of an official Congressional investigation, and a verdict rendered, finding them to be derilict.
However, blaming someone else, isn't seeming to help the veterans any.
There are a few questions I think we ALL should be asking. Such as:
Who is responsible for this?
Why wasn't anything done about the problem, when it was already a known problem in 2008?
If the problem was a shortage of funds, why were administrators getting 'bonuses', while vets were dying under their watch?

Because it is Almighty Big Government. They are the rich elitist and we are the peasants. Welcome to the world of progressive socialism.

Obummer is the special kind of idiot, he comes out and says he didn't know this was happening till that morning. He has a news conference and says he is really mad. And you believe him along with all the other low-information people/voters. Wake up man!

Is this the same Shineski who proposed this in 2009?
-snip-
retired General Eric Shinseki, who wants to save a few bucks at the Veterans Administration by making men and women injured in the service of our country pay for their care:
Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance. …
No official proposal to create such a program has been announced publicly, but veterans groups wrote a pre-emptive letter last week to President Obama voicing their opposition to the idea after hearing the plan was under consideration.
The groups also cited an increase in “third-party collections” estimated in the 2010 budget proposal — something they said could be achieved only if the Veterans Administration started billing for service-related injuries.
Asked about the proposal, Shinseki said it was under “consideration.”
“A final decision hasn’t been made yet,” he said.

Never was a soldier and believe that I am worse for it, but then that's terribly easy to say when that was in my hands alone. But of those that I do know or knew, from various eras, they seem to handle just about anything that society or government sends their way EXCEPT for being used as a prop in a political or ideological battle.
Sooooooo, just let them die. Protect the man. Now maybe you can begin to understand why I want no politician of any political party in charge of my health care. Health care should not be politicised.
