Bannon has been out in front of Trump since early on in the campaign. Trump wouldn't have hatched up any of the populist stuff on his own. Doesn't feel it. Doesn't own it. Doesn't, for that matter, understand it at all.
Not having any feel, no-instinctive populist moorings is quite likely why he never looks or sounds more uncomfortable or clumsy than when he tries to take on the Everyman schtick.
Bannon knows that doesn't make much difference...that it's what is said, to the right people enough times.
Trump was good at attacking a poor
y chosen opponent who was badly wounded by her legacy of being a corporatist pol and having fractured her party, and crippled severely by a mainstream press so radically sensitive to accusations of imbalance or unfairness that they kept the email story front and center 24/7 and made headlines over the Comey statements. Actually, what's getting me and many other old school, actual, authentic, classic..what have you.. Democrats over and through this is the fact that for all practical purposes we've likely seen the last of those 2.fricken' DINOs. Although I have seen that their bankster-wife spawn has engaged herself in a Twitter battle with some right winged woman, and I nearly puked when I saw that she is considering running for Congress.
Long message. Sorry. But IMHO Bannon has Trump surrounded on all sides. It's becoming clear that many in the D.C. Leadership (L & R, R & D) understand that as just in the last few days he's been roundly featured and profiled in the mainstream press.
I don't know how many elderly women of either persuasion thre are who have read any of the numerous profiles and exposee's on Bannon that have just come out, but if the (bi-partisan) set of them that are on email and social media groups that are hooked up to this service are any indication, the first response is essentially "Oh, my!". And then "How did this ever happen?".
It's a hell of a well run outfit, Like none I've ever seen.
