So much for Democracy

The New York Times reports that the GOP’s biggest presidential donors and fund-raisers want to clear the field for a single establishment candidate to carry the party’s banner in 2016 – either Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, or Mitt Romney -- fearing that a prolonged primary would bolster Hillary Rodham Clinton, the likely Democratic candidate.

The biggest political divide in America now and in years to come isn't between the Republican and Democratic parties. It’s between the establishment and the anti-establishment -- between a rich minority of top corporate executives, denizens of Wall Street, and billionaire moguls, all of whom have been fixing the economic and political game for their own benefit, and the vast majority of Americans who, as a result, are in a fix.

Re: So much for Democracy

Reich is Reight. I have been talking and talking about the influence of special interests, political action comittees, deep pockets and big money for a few years and basically have been a voice in the wilderness and dismissed by the others. One day, we will ddecide that what we want is more important than what the few with $$$ want. It will get worse before it gets better because all of Congress in sucking up the money and have been for a long while. Lawrence Lessige has been trying to inform us for several years now and he gets about as much traction as I do.

So your daily kos is worried about democracy??

Were they worried when Obama bypassed congress with a unprecidented executive order?

BA, is still living in his own little fantasyland, right, BA? To say it was unprecedented, is like saying the world was round, when the bible was written, it's that  ridicules.
