So you want to topple the US gov`t?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=35Fm03LhWvU#! there`s alot of good thoughts in this vid. There are alot of good people on here...but we are not on the same page ...yet. Johnaa, Sam, 3020, Verby, Faust, Red, Nebfarm, Nox, Taylor, Flatland, Ollie, Craig and many more I appologise for leaving out but many of us don`t have the same world view, we just know "something isn`t right here". I would be perfectly happy installing 3020 as dictator for life and call it a day but John, Nox and Bruce might have a few problems with that.

Re: So you want to topple the US gov`t?
Through default every freedom loving independent American is is in the same boat. For example, let`s say the Dems win back the House in 2014 and put in a law that some guns are "outlawed" and in order to lawfully keep the guns you have left, you must be fingerprinted, pay license fees and subject to surprise inspections of your home...4th amendment be damned. Now, some of us that would be a "deal breaker" and 1776 would commence, others of us will fire up the ol` 580 Case, pack our guns in grease, buried in the backyard "Guns? What guns? I ain`t got no guns". I agree that things will self-destruct, but the term `out of the frying pan into the fire` comes to mind. You have those on the hard left that want a crash to come, Russians that thought their had it bad under the Czars, found they lost many generations to what replaced the Czar system. When this country suffered the Great Depression, communism tried it`s damnest to take this country, and many would`ve but FDR appeased the masses with the New Deal...(oh Christ, what have I done? maybe Bruce won`t read this
I`d better be ready to do some serious Googling if he does). But just because this system crashes doesn`t nessessarily mean something better will take it`s place. The left`s mantra of "never let a crisis go to waste" will reach it`s pinnacle in a collapse, that would give them a gifthorse opportunity to scrap the Constitution once and for all and re-manufacture this country as Jamestown http://www.tparents.org/library/unification/publications/1620/part2.html

What elixer are you on today?
You're not going to have a revolution. Who would you find to do battle for you? In a way I would like to see some revolutionary action just to show how many of you blowhards would avoid action. Such macho men that always seems to let someone else do the fighting and dieing.
Do you actually think that there wouldn't be a huge majority that would fight to protect this union as flawed as it might be. The confederates were not the patriots. They were the rebels the traitors to our constitution and our nation.
In fact I might enjoy seeing you macho guys fill your pants at the first sign of incoming. Alas you are dreaming a pipe dream with a few beers in your gullet and firearm in you hand and visions of rambo dancing in your head.
Forget it little man, you aren't impressing anyone

The uprising will come from the left when other people's money run out and the fed can't print it as fast as it deflates. Your leaders will take even more of your social security money to keep them calm. We will then see who is for revaluation and who is not.

Not sure how ready everyone is for finding out that their high standard of living owes more to the fact that they live in the greatest of hegemonic empires (that they want to overthrow) than to their own abundant virtues. That would be about the only difference I can find between you and me and about 4 billion other folks on the planet.
To hell with the other 3 billion.

Re: What elixer are you on today?
We were sitting in the living room of this big old farmhouse last night watching a documentary on Animal Planet, on a big assed TV powered by what has to be the most ridiculously dependable power grid that exists anywhere that feeds this part of the country, about birds and animals trying to survive living in the shadow of an active volcano and I looked around and wondered "How did we pull this off?" Surely my backsliding iinto essential agnosticism should disqualify me if you looked at it from that angel.
Or anyody, for that matter. I'd expect that any of us here could house a small tribe, and feed them for a month just on what we have on hand.
Worst part of that eveneing view is looking out teh picture window in just one direction and not seeing a third as many yard lights as we did not so very long ago. That's a part of the blessing of being here that is gone

Probably true until about 1970 when our oil production began to fall and consumption remained on the same upward trajectory.
And, of course in 1980 we began the great debt explosion and huge deficits driven by military expansion.
