Socialism...Why now?

https://townhall.com/columnists/victordavishanson/2019/08/29/why-socialism-and-why-now-n2552303

Victor David Hanson touches on a lot of the legs holding up the socialist stool in America. A lack of unbiased education seems to be the catalyst, and economic stagnation, or retrenchment is the financial driver.

Yes, with the possible exception of Liz Warren, most of the old folks who received almost free higher educations are dedicated capitalists.

And I'm pretty sure that globalization runs a distant second to financialization and deregulation as the cause of burgeoning income and wealth disparities. In fact it is more a symptom of the latter.

But the folks who sacked the joint and their shills, like VD, are busy telling you otherwise. He's out on several limbs there.

These kids these days need to get off my lawn.

i am in favor of FFA being required to add a unit on the evil of farm subsidies.

Nutz, aren't you the poster child to illustrate the dangers of farm subsidies? Ever wonder what kind of bigger man you might have been if you had tried to produce crops instead of farm your farm for the CSP payments, and lost your rented acreage to the neighbor that embraced production?

Re: Socialism...Why now?

Little touchy about being a socialist, are we?

Like the great, formerly progressive state of WI, it wasn't socialism back when it was just for us.

Taking to VD's theme, I suppose that WI's relative economic under performance ever since Tommy Thompson is the fault of all the goin's on at the U of W?

Kansas, Kansas I tell you!!!!!

I actually favor minimum government involvement with agriculture....you play the hand that you are dealt in business, but that isn't the way I vote. If America would move away from the "cheap food" policies, maybe people would appreciate their bounty more, not eat so much, and the obesity problem might be solved. Not that a guy like you over eats or anything.
