Re: Okay I`m with ya, Hobby

I don't need a lesson on ethanol.  I took it from your stance that you figured ethanol was too large to fail.  Several folks have stated that it is a waste of money and using food to produce energy outside the body of a living soul is stupid.  You guys all stated very clearly that NO ONE is too big, too important to fail.  I think that farmers are not too big, too important to be allowed to make it without tax payer money the same as the banks, insurance companies and car makers.

Re: Still waiting.

When Bruce corrected you was it a republican talking point? Hard landing, think for yourself.

Re: Still waiting.

Btw bartmac, my bil lives in a camper 400 miles from his wife and kids cause that's where the work is. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Re: Still waiting.

I have done a lot of varied work over the last decades, and have heard several times, "I could not do what you do". I think , usually the person that says this means they would choose not to, like baling road ditches or doing cement work, or even working at the various business jobs I have held. But the reality probably is that they are not capable of doing what I do, either mentally or physcially. Americans have gotten used to a soft existence, and this will change. Unfortunately, it may not be a pretty transition as we are currently witnessing.

Re: Still waiting.

I thought Bruce was wrong in his "correction".  I said who bush was talking about along with all of you repubs on here.  You constantly B&M about welfare folks.  How much money do you figure it costs to move to a different state?  Oh what the hell.  You're a lost cause because you will never own up to not giving a rat's a$$ about the poor in this country.  Right now, your gop is busy cutting things like NPR and SS, Medicaid, Medicare but you can bet there won't be any farm subsidy, defense except maybe soldiers' pay and retirees' benefits.    So long!

Re: Still waiting.

I don't have an answer for the man bartmac, you don't even understand what the question is.

Re: Still waiting.

This disagreement over what should be obvious illustrates how disconnected some Americans have become. People like bartmac won't see how desperate the situation is till the direct deposit from the pension just doesn't come.

Re: Still waiting.

ME??  I asked you a simple little question and you have danced all around and tried to insult me and still won't answer other than to say crap like "aren't those the ones who are supposed to move".  If you don't want to answer, that's fine by me but you should at least have the most common curtesy and just say so.

because

When he was laid off he did get unemployment for a short time but he didn't feel that long term there was any opportunity to return and the area didn't appear to have a future.  He went half way across the country to find work and did.  The work however ended his unemployment and it was a contract job.  When that ended he was without work for a while but then got another contract job.  That too ended and there is no umemployment for contract workers.  He has been out of all jobs for some time.  Some jobs just aren't possible for him as he has some physical limitations.  Others because they don't wan't a guy with a Masters degree.
