Suspend elections for 2 years

snip: You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things. I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. The one good thing about Raleigh is that for so many years we worked across party lines. It's a little bit more contentious now but it's not impossible to try to do what's right in this state. You want people who don't worry about the next election."

Doesn't sound like the dems are very confident of their chances in 2012. They need to invite gto to their meetings. I wonder what they are scared of?

What makes her think the current crop of politicians can make the right decisions to help the economy recover? May be we should move the elections forward by 6 months instead.

How about suspending campaigning, until 6 months or less before an election.

Until that time, incumbents could only talk about their actual voting record, and not what they 'will' do.
With the ones running against the incumbents, they can only campaign 6 mos before the primary, and again 6 mos ahead of the general election.

Anyone caught violating this, shall be forced to attend official functions seated between Maxine Waters, and Rush
