Taxes

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for
peanuts anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his *****.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me
to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'
I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!!

GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!!

Re: Taxes

Was a hundred percent on until you said Mom stayed home. I wish all Moms would stay home. But the reason Mom doesn’t stay home is because new homes are double the size they were 60 years ago. The home usually has 3000 or more in landscaping with lots of yearly upkeep instead of half a dozen evergreens in front and the sides to mow under, the electronics, half a dozen new monthly services to support those electronics, dance lessons, gymnastics, two or more vehicles compared to one and a half average, 20,000 dollar weddings more the rule than the exception, more meals out than cooked at home and I could go on and on. Moms “have” to go to work not because things are so much worse but because most Americans today are spoiled and to GREEDY to let mom be a mother.

Re: Taxes

Oh, come on. The real problem is the income of a single parent isn't enough to support a family of four anymore! Just think about, the price of a car or pickup now, compared with 20 yrs. ago. For that matter, the price of gasoline, sure you can blame it on taxes, but it's what America wants, good roads, a police department, fire department, That is stuff Americans all want, and have come to expect, so step up to the plate, pay the taxes and quit belly-achin'. It's the price of freedom and liberty!

Re: Taxes

It could support a family of four with a 1950’s lifestyle even better now. That vehicle of 20 years ago never had an led screen with gps, backup cameras etcetcetc

Re: Taxes

Did your Mother and Dad both work? Mine didn't, we may not have had everything but we were comfortable and happy, not that way anymore for millions of people. It's a sad dark time we are living in.

"The real problem is the income of a single parent isn't enough to support a family of four anymore!"

You are correct.  And the reason is all these taxes.  The government has it's fingers in everything.  When you buy anything, be it a product or a service the price you pay is actually only partly for the item and the rest is taxes hidden in it.

When the federal government has about a 4 trillion dollar budget that money has to come out of somebodies pocket.  Then look at state budgets, county budgets, city budgets and you should be able to see why things cost so much relative to what they used to.

It's government that causes inflation.

Well you've nearly got it right. All these taxes, $1.2 trillion, WENT to people that don't have to pay taxes! They took our money, then gave it to the Republicans who then turned it against us, telling lies for votes. You guys really don't get it do you?? To bad, I thought you guys were brighter than that, my mistake.

Re: Taxes

Well, I did that. Federal govt employs 17% of the working force. I guess that means that the private sector—everything else—employs 83%. Next!!
