Texas Covid test positivity hits 10.2%

Texas Covid test positivity hits 10.2%, the first time since Feb, hospitalizations have doubled from 1500 to 3000 in less than a week.

Remember, the population of Missouri is 6 million, Texas, 29 million, 5x as many.  5x as many people to get sick, 5x as many to die.

Make sure you dont look to closely Rick.   Downtrends turning to up trends all over the place.  Like NY, NJ, wisc, Ohio, many others.

Did you hear about the British aircraft carrier, fully vax'ed, 1/7 th of the crew positive.

Be affraid rick, stay home.

That`s playing with numbers, because those who are inclined to get a Covid test likely in many cases think they caught it.  So they will test "higher positive".    Some say as many as a third of Americans had Covid and shrugged it off as "just the damned flu".

My Wife who is a vaxxed,  medical professional says that she could still catch Covid, it`s just the vaccine would indeed render Covid as a mild flu, instead of "killing you . Aaaaagh  run fer yer lives!!!".

As the virus mutates to become easier to spead it becomes less deadly.

1/7th probably a good number.

If you limit it to a seventh vs. virtually 100% and few of those are heavy shedders, you get a picture of how vaccination can drive R0 to under 1.

Unless you’re a terrorist.

While the Right makes rhetorical hay over five Covid infected, runaway Texas lawmakers, our southern border is getting overrun by hundreds of thousands of unvaccinated illegals. Worse still, most of these illegals are then placed on government chartered aircraft and buses and sent inland to destinations unknown to the general public.

A mere citizen might be forgiven if he were to conclude the Biden Administration’s current Covid containment policy is to do the exact opposite for anything that might remotely resemble a national effort to quarantine the disease. It is almost as if Biden and his fellow Democrats are now trying to intentionally spread the virus.

Given that Texas is the nearest point of entry in all of this, is there any surprise their Covid test rates would be going up right now? Now, about the rest of us...

Nobody believes any of that except for folks who want to.
