Re: The failure of capitalism

Once more we see that the market economy failed to research or produce a viable vacine for Ebola because the profit motive was limited. Those of you that worship at the altar of pure capitalism are so willing to ignore its failings.

It is exactly the pursuit of earnings that drive all capitalist endevours. Anything with out a profit potential is not worth doing. When goverment strives to fill a vacuum then the righties claim we can't afford it. We can spend trillions trying to enhance our killing ability but we can't spend a few billion trying to prevent these horrid scourges that god hath wrought. Lets not get to excited about it as long as it is darkies over there dying.

The money was to pay resitituion to the victims of the homesexual preditors who should rot in jail. Why does the NIH have money for this but not ebola?

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded $1.5 million to study biological and social factors for why “three-quarters” of lesbians are obese and why gay males are not, calling it an issue of “high public-health significance."

Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass., has received two grants administered by NIH’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to study the relationship between sexual orientation and obesity.
