Here it is Thanksgiving morning, most are still sleeping but I've been at work since 2330. I'm scheduled to work nights at the off farm job until Saturday, so the family went to the in-laws without me. Poor me, NOT, empty house also means a quite house. GOOD DAYTIME SLEEPING RECIPE Don't get me wrong, I'll miss them while they are gone. All is not lost however, this will be the first Thanksgiving since the passing of my father, so it will be me and my mom for a little mother-son time at dinner. I can't tell you how much I have been looking forward to it. I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving whatever your plans may be.
I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned it on here before, but if anyone watches the annual Macy's Parade, I just happen to work at the facility that supplies them with their helium for all their balloons. Both trucks left for New York I believe on Monday, so if the wind up there isn't blowing to hard, I should get a little personal satisfaction knowing that I had a small part of that annual tradition.
