Thank you, Rev. Faith Green Timmons, of Bethel United Methodist Church in Flint, Michigan, for having the guts to stand up to Trump, and tell him to shut up.
Trump, in his normal fashion, turned the table on the Minister, and made her out to be the villain. Tell you what, Trump's support among the Black population that he was trying to court, just went from his, "We're doing very well among black voters" 1-2%, to near Zero.
I'm not too concerned about what I see in the polls right now. Secretary Clinton has a fire in her, it's burning. You could see it in the speech she gave last night. And I see that same fire burning in many that I speak to. I think I am seeing a more composed voting force for Secretary Clinton, a force that I suspect is holding their tongues right now, and will come out in force on November 8th, and do their speaking at the polls.
Here in Cannon Falls, I see signs out for the local races, but very few for the Presidential election. I think people are actually afraid to have a sign in their yard. What a shameful campaign is being waged. The Christian right has been sold out to the alt-right, all in the name of votes. Which is what inspired me to write The Lord Trump's Prayer this morning.
As I look at this definition:
A Sociopath. A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused—it is done to get one's way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others.
and I contemplate what has transpired over the course of the last year, it is easy to see that Trump MUST win this campaign at all costs. If he loses, and I'm pretty sure that he will, his already tarnished name will be forever more associated with the liar that he and his business practices embrace.
Win or lose, this hope of his to buy the Presidency is going to cost him huge in the end.
He has not united the Republican members of Congress to his team, and he won't if he takes office either. There is no trust there now, and there won't be in the future. I see this con man simply continuing to unravel the fabric of the Republican Party.
There is no 'WE' in the Trump dictionary. It's just I. I, I, I.
This guy really does believe that he is God. That he answers to no one, and he never has to back down from a statement that he has made, no matter how blatantly wrong it is.
Maybe our Nations moto will need to be changed if Trump gets elected:
IN LORD TRUMP WE TRUST.....heaven help us.....
