The Great Depression That Wasn't

The Panic of 1920 started out as a contender for the greatest depression of all time, with a drop in prices and production during its first twelve months that dwarfed those of any other economic crash, and she piled on an unemployment rate that skyrocketed from invisible to 12% in a flash.

Re: The Great Depression That Wasn't

the US government is more like a bloated farm coop , doing things for the coop and not for the farmer. in this case the us government is trying to get rid of its huge debts with cheaper , inflated dollars, so it can keep spending more and more.

We need a  return to accountability, to the voters. Just like coops should downsize and be more accountable to the individual farmers and not to themselves as an entity.

That's the first sensible thing you have written today, you pegged the local COOP.   They wanted to sell me a replacement rim for my tractor, which they would get from the local dealer and make a make-up.   I went out of town and bought one for 200% less.
