Re: the vast majority of people
(the vast majority of people will gravitate toward the easiest way to make the most money.
In a well functioning society it is necessary to have some adults in the room curbing those impulses.
Liz Warren is the wisest and most courageous person in a position of leadership in our country today,...)
I don't think it was the adult Warren's wisdom that made herself worth North of $10 million and in the top 50 wealthiest senators / representative list, and firmly entrenched as a 1%er; or should I call her a courageous 1%er. I guess we need to find someone to curb her impulses?

Re: The Iron Law of Valuation
You won`t answer this question, because it blows apart your argument, but would you want to live in a country where the prevailing wage is $1 an hour? Because that`s how the furriners live. Have you seen pictures of China, all the smog and haze in every photo? They don`t have a EPA or a OSHA, if you`re in a factory in China and cut your finger off, you`re screwed, they get another worker to take your place and you go out digging in the garbage with your 9 fingers the rest of your life.
And if the US worker has to compete with that, eventually we will have that standard of living here and that`s what I fight against.

Re: those enemies inside the gates
There's a reasonable argument to be made that the average worker has lost more to domestic slicksters and their political influence than they have to furriners.
Not that there aren't policies to help address global labor arbitrage as well but that's not holding a daily WWE wrestlepalooza.
Hey, I have a great idea- let's reward the people who screwed us by giving them a huge tax cut and eliminating all regulations so they can get a few extra thrusts in!

K-289. Yet your buddies in the Leftist media act like "dumb Americans can`t tie their shoes without iiiiimiiigrants" . They have stupid, incomplete studies of "how much immigrants add to the US economy" and my favorite "a day without immiiigrants" where Mexicans go on strike one day and don`t clean toilets and we`re supposed to come to the insane conclusion that "we really neeeeeed these people!". Just like there ain`t enough stinky hog houses in the state of Ioway.

Of course! Those Chinamen working at Apple`s Foxconn that get so sick of it and throw themselves out the window ain`t making out like bandits at $1/hr. It`s the pastey domestic CEOs and such that make those decisions and get $20 million bonuses every year that makes out like bandits and you can get some crumbs if you buy their company stock....they`ll split it and do buy backs and you might retire comfortably in Boca one day.

Re: the vast majority of people
Her husband was a successful executive, she had a good academic job after she'd raised her kids and she's written some books- and presumably actually written them!
I recall The Redmeister's disdain for Slow Joe Biden who didn't accumulate a thing in his 40 years of public service other than a pension and a house in Delaware.
You guys will always want to have it both ways since you Just Know who's Good People and are served talking points from the echo chamber.

Where, BTW, they add about $8 of cost to the ultimate $800 price tag of an iphone (but $200 is charged to the trade deficit for accounting purposes).
And yeah, building them in the US would probably add about $20 to the price.
It is almost all IP, not manufacturing value added.

Of course there`s Republicans that are bought off like Kasich, Flake, McCain...they are known as "never Trumpers". But! K-289, have you ever seen a Democrat yet that thinks we have too many Mexicans?
