Re: The Iron Law of Valuation

Sure.

Holding circuses for the goobers while the usual suspects ransack the joint is pretty darn patriotic.

Re: the vast majority of people

(You guys will always want to have it both ways since you Just Know who's Good People and are served talking points from the echo chamber.)

Seems your the one wanting it both ways as you pretend to rail against the 1%er's at the same time that your calling the 1%er Warren wise & courageous and the only adult in the halls of congress.

I guess you just know that Warren is Good 1%er People from the talking points served to you from the echo chamber.

Re: the vast majority of people

I'm fine with people accumulating wealth.*

It is a question of how they do it and how they're permitted to use if to further their own interests if those happen to be at the expense of the less fortunate or the well being of the country.

The majority of the .1% level wealth today is a product of financial games rather than productive enterprise.

*although i do think that untaxed capital gains should be fully taxed at death. With the possible exception of certain family businesses, where in return they would forego the reset of the cost basis on those assets and be taxed at cost if they sell them in the future.

Re: The Iron Law of Valuation

Steve King is scrambling a bit, kissing Farm Bureau`s butt.  See, many counties didn`t give him "Friend of Agriculture" status, couple reasons, we got some smooth hand Democrats moved in some of the boards and some of the intelligent members are still holding a grudge that King endorsed (anti ethanol) Ted Cruz.  Steve has had some real sweaty Farm Bureau meetings this summer.   My opinion is we brung each other to the dance, it`s a shame we go home alone, but I was on the road and couldn`t defend him and I`d probably make some of the Democrat board members mad if I said what needed to be said and they need to hear.   In real life, I`m too nice a guy   🙂

Re: The Iron Law of Valuation

King made a deal with the devil on Cruz`s antiethanolism and thinking "Trump can`t win" blew his wad on a losing horse.   Now he has to answer for it, after Cruz won Ioway, King got kind of goofy I suppose thinking "I`m gonna be the vice-president!!!! Smiley Tongue"   kind of a Howard Dean moment, EEEEE Yah!

Its a good sign that you're reading Karl.  But it's a bit much when a break some windows lets fight space aliens kind of guy starts complaining about fraudulent capitalism.

Re: The Iron Law of Valuation

You have to wade through a lot of birtherism twaddle and whatnot to get anywhere with him.

But that's what it takes to keep The Tribe on your side.
