All but 2 Republicans voted for detention. along with 16 Democrats Most of whom face hard right wing challenges in the next cycle. Oh....and, SURPRISE!..Leiberman.

Are you righties here who are claiming to be fearful of a police state going to give the President his props when he vetoes it?

Yes, I will give kudos to Obama if he vetos. But he will do the same as the bill with executive order. But at least the next president won't have the law to use.

It is just a shame that the rest of the contents of the bill--budgets for the military and the rest of it will go down when Obama vetos it because of this.  I guess though if it does pass, many construction jobs will happen to put barracks around those water treatment plants.
