The Tedster
It was on in the background so I didn't catch it completely but did anybody see Ted Nugent on CBS Morning all the sudden go nuts and throwing what appeared to be F-bombs at the off sreen producer?
Apparently he later apologized and said he was in the hospital for a kidney stone. You couldn't make this stuff up.

Re: The Tedster
What is amazing is how anyone even cares or makes a news story out of a 70's rocker saying anything political. What is going to be next, some washed up actor will become president?
From Catscratch Fevor to Snakeskin Cowboys, I followed Terrible Ted and his loud guitar back in college but really lost touch with his antics when I became an adult.

Re: The Tedster
I'd certainly agree although I had to burn my Pat Boone records when he started doing Republican attack ads.
Actually, I thought they were trying to make a Palin out of Ted- a fine guy with blue collar cred who is being persecuted by the liberals and MSM.

Why did CBS have him on?

Re: The Tedster
In order to provoke him into wigging out and thus discredit his otherwise insightful political commentary.

His going on their show is an indication of his level of intelligence.

Re: The Tedster
Alice Cooper may be one of the most politically savvy celebreties I can think of.
I saw him interviewed once, a few years ago, on his thoughts on the Presidential race. To paraphrase, he basically said, it doesn't matter what he thinks, he is a performer, and a song writer, and just because he is 'famous' doesn't make his opinion worth anything. He would never call up Jimmy Carter, or George Bush to help him write song lyrics, why would anyone ask himj about politics.

Re: The Tedster
Here`s a CBS link to the 9 minute interview http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505263_162-57427792/ted-nugent-explodes-at-notion-hes-not-a-moderate/ Being a musician he is very passionate and emotional, at the outburst he was describing taking a "make a wish" kid on a last fishing trip. Now, to put yourself in Ted`s place having the honor of taking a little boy on his one and only fishing trip, because he only has a couple months left. That extreme greif in combination with the anger of the hard left direction can make a red-blooded American mad, I would check anyone`s vital signs were they not being at least extremely ticked in that environment. Ted wears his emotions on his sleeve and because of that, he may serve the cause he cares about better by saying "No thanks" to doing interviews. But when put in context, I do understand where he`s coming from. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505263_162-57427792/ted-nugent-explodes-at-notion-hes-not-a-moderate/
