Re: The Tedster

I'm just interested in how the tapdance around the various identity plays goes. Ted is a hit with a particular demographic that the GOP needs to hold but more than enough of a wild card to cause problems with the center where they need to gain.

Also interesting that being an avid gun sports guy and caucasian- and anti-obama and liberals- is more than enough to qualify somebody as patriotic even if they chose not to serve in VN.

For Ted, it is probably all good PR regardless, sort of like being the jerk on a reality TV show.

I think it says more about CBS being a mouth piece for the white house than it does any conservative.

Re: The Tedster

That be as it may, there is a limit to how many people buy that pitch and I think the Perils of Lovely White Gun Toting Mother Sarah tested those limits. Hard to top that.

But here we have the fact that the 1%ers need to keep the poor angry white bloc locked in (and they're smart enough and cynical enough to know the scam) but it has the potential to create problems at the center, which is where the game will be won or lost.

Re: The Tedster

I think Ted is just upset that he has not landed a gig yet on one of the many reality / talent shows out there that are hiring many of the other has been music stars.

Re: The Tedster

Obviously, Alice Cooper has way more brains than Nugent. Apparently, Teddy, thinks no one knows, or remembers, or thinks he has been forgiven for his draft dodge? I got news for him, there are millions of Veterans, and other partriotic people that thinks he should crawl back in his hole.

Re: The Tedster

I think with Alice, he is smart enough, to know, what he doesn't know.  It keeps him from spouting out jibberish.  There are certainly celebrities who know more about politics than Cooper, but sometimes once they get started, they don't know when to quit.

From what little I've seen about Nugent, he has a big ego, and craves attention, and I think he does what he thinks it takes to get it.

Re: The Tedster

Honestly it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if they trashed Obama in front of all of shanghai. If they trashed bush, eh, was i? that big of a deal.
