I guess you don't know how parliamentary democracies work.  They've replaced Merkel's center-right government with a center-left coalition government. 

In other words, not much change.

  As for a trump/DeSantis ticket, DeSantis will never be trump's V-P, he's not that stupid.  Well, yes he is but he's way too ambitious to stand in trump's shadow.

And yet, the untold story is that the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party is now over 10% of the vote, and growing.  The Social Democrat is just 24% of the total. Little by little, they will gain power.
