Re: The burning neoconservative desire....

Does anything these idiots do, really suprise you, bruce? Now that they have a "mandate", just watch how bold they are going to get. The Republican party is off the rails, and this time it's going to hurt millions of people, American people.

Re: The burning neoconservative desire....

Bruce, the Middle East is a powder keg. Our only friend over there, Israel is surrounded and outnumbered greatly. They have had to fight for their survival since `47, they now have nukes, if they are threatened further they may push that red button. I can`t say I would blame them for pushing the button under the circumstances. Obama doesn`t understand the gravity of the situation over there, he doesn`t wear big boy pants yet. So if Cantor is assuring Prime Minister Netanyahu behind the scenes of Republican support... more power to him.

Re: The burning neoconservative desire....

How bout Isreal when they attack an American ship on the open seas? Does that sound like one of our allies?

How about the political influence in our own congress. Leibermann and and all those quasi (crazy) jews in the Bush cabinet that drug us into fighting Isreali wars?

Either you is an American or you is not. Sending american troops and spending our wealth should be for our benefit, not for some foreign states benefit.

Re: The burning neoconservative desire....

Why is it that Israel always has to give something up for peace? Why is nothing ever ask of the Palestinians? Who is the leader of Palestine? Who are the Israelis suppose to deal with?

Exactly because he understands the grave problem over there is why he reaches out to these people to try to get calmer heads to think about the problem also.  We CAN'T keep just bombing everyone who doesn't want to play with our bat and ball.  Don't you rightwingers ever think there is a way to live on the same planet without blowing something or someone up???

Re: The burning neoconservative desire....

Schnurrbart, the problem is there never was a "winner" and a "loser" in Israel. If there`s a war there needs to be a clear winner  and then there can be reconciliation between the two and Peace can then result. The Palestinians never thought they lost anything, they just keep drawing new lines in the sand. In a perverted way the Palestinians may have lost militarily and actually won through the media manipulation and having the nads to keep drawing lines in the sand. In short they never accepted the message that they lost.

Re: The burning neoconservative desire....

Do you seriously bring the term "drawing new lines" into the conversation from that direction? WTH? What do you actually know of the histoyy  of the region? The only new lines drawn were the ones drawn by the British after the war. No different than they did in the Arab states after WW1.

What did they lose? Are you saying that the borders in the region are a matter of conquest?

Take and take and take by force, and then refuse to evenly discuss anything, even under the  standing disaproval of nearly all of the rest of the world?

Re: The burning neoconservative desire....

I'm not surwe that Cantor knows, or cares, what a serious istake he is making here. There is no stomach for this, particularily after what tehe Iraq war has been and how it has had an ornerous effect on nearly everything that has happened here since it was launched.
