I think a lot of progress has been made on reducing methane leakage (and water contamination) since the early days of the frack boom, but more needs to be done.

The frackers have enormous sunk costs in drilling rights. They'll do what they're told, even if they'll strategically propagandize about how it will "destroy the American way of life."
