The election
All the huffing and puffing about impeachment for hatred reasons only, obviously originates after the hollow victory or the frustration of they hatred having no effect in respect to change.
There are some who chortled with glee at the victory only to realise the emptiness which they achieved.
After all the conspiracy theories, likening to Marxism, etc, disturbing innuendos from the northers, the invention of the baggers as a creditable opposition to Obama, a pathetic attempt to sheet blame on Hilary and Obama over the Benghazi thing and many other false accusations, serve the democrats very nicely leading to 2016.
The rabble you call the GOP will steadily implode under its power struggles within. The effectiveness of the bi partisanship that should follow their victory will bog them into factions of totally different agendas.
Being totally devoted to the theory of ridding the nation of Obama because of all the xenophobia will help to destroy the GOP while losing the primary objective of winning. But I could be wrong.

Re: The election
It appears that only 38 percent of the population has the ambition to get off their ass and vote and yes that majority has the say.. The rest that are too busy to take the time to decide their own fat have nothing to bitch about. Come on Bart.. You were in the military , you know how the system works.

Re: The election
The ACA is probably the desire of insurance companies. The "State Exchange", from what I take from it, is an evolution of the collusion which existed before the ACA. This is where insurance providers serving an area agree not to cut up the plans -- even though it is possible to do so, and it may yield signifigant savings in some instances.
The exclusion of pre-existing conditions is an example. The insurance companies would be more than happy to be the "payer" for major medicals. This is how they make money. But they can't otherwise the group would switch to another plan or company.
The law in itself is an act of collusion. There is no need to negotiate prices. The negotiation of prices in itself is illegal in as much as the pharmacies and hospitals now enter into collusion.
Price fixing is illegal.

Re: The election
Martin Grass of Rite Aid went away for some years back around 2000. As did some other folks.
Around that time PharMor went out of business. It was probably the only competetive pharmacy there was.

Re: The election
The really screwy thing is that rather than negotiate prices, like they did before, it is now almost nessesary for the insurance companies to pay out HIGH rather than EVER save a single dime. The ultimate result is that they will only be able to stay in business so long as you can survive on whats left from your paycheck == then expect to get a larger portion back from taxes.
ACA took a troubled but alive industry and saddled it up on the terror pony.
