Although the National Review is well known to have become a purveyor of Fake News in recent years.


Like the Bakken, "technically recoverable" reserves say little about cost of recovery. And even if they are at some price the decline rate of the conventional reserves moves along inexorably.


Dennison got a little bit lucky by popping oil prices up a bit by accident with some of his geopolitical thrashing around but reality has come back around.


In the Permian some sweet spots where land was acquired cheaply are making money. But now they're bidding different expectations into the game and the only big winners are the landowners- public and private.
