The face of racism.

Notice the skin head telling the young female teacher she is not welcome.

Re: The Ugly face of racism.

I know I am generalizing here, but I have noticed that the teacher's union on one hand claims that the unionized public schools give students the best education, at the most reasonable price, while on the other hand fights against any private or charter school like it was a leper colony.

I can remember when I was younger, and buying tools for my shop, I questioned once why I should buy brand X tools from one guy instead of brand Y from somewhere else.  He said to buy one wrench from each, and see which one I would buy.

I asked the other guy the same question, and all he could do was give reasons not to even go look at brand X.  I found out why, his couldn't stand up on a side-by-side comparison, so he had to badmouth the competition hoping I wouldn't go there.

Last guy came close

He said it's summer, what he didn't say was teachers aren't working like the rest of society so they  have time to come and protest.

I didn't see a skin head in that video.  Where was he?  I'm sure you could find more denigrating terms than skin head.

Re: The Ugly face of racism.

Probably most public school adminstrators don't like "choice" schools.  The main reason is, of course, money.  Schools get x amouint of dollars for students with which they provide the salaries, supplies, and all other expenses.  Every day a student is not in school they don't get that money but they still have all the expenses.  Your analogy doesn't work because you are dealing with humans.  Not all choice, religous backed schools are top notch just like a healthy percentage of home schools kids are still dumber than a box of rocks.  Not all public schools are bad either.

You're kidding right Bart. Where the bully tells the young lady we don't want your kind here. He tells her to go back where she came from. Why would he do that? What is it about that young lady that makes her unfit to be there? What if that were your daughter?

Re: The face of racism.

No, I'm not kidding.  I didn't see a bully or a skinhead.  I saw a young man with short hair, glasses and a short beard telling someone he suspected was from out of town or the state or somewhere other than the district.  He was very concerned probably about her agenda and was probably concerned about his job maybe.  He wasn't argumentative, i didn't hear any profanity and all I saw and heard was him asking her questions which she refused to even speak.  So what???  If it was one of my daughters, they probably would have had something to say.  What was she doing there?  She obviously wasn't part of the protest.  Was she a teacher in the school or just someone there to protest against the protesters?  The whole thing is about money.  Public shools depend on money and every student less means they get less money and that means that school districts where there is choice, the kids who can't afford the tuition are shorted because their school doesn't get as much money because a bunch of kids are going to a private school.  I can see where some people wouldn't like that.

Re: The face of racism.

Bart, why did the skin head who did not belong there try to intimidate the young lady who had ever right to be there. I will answer that myself, because he is a bully hoping to scare her to leave her job.

We must not have seen the same video.
