The poor Texas state GOP, too clever by half.

They went to all that trouble to craft a bill to make abortion illegal and then forgot the most important person, the woman herself.  No, that's not quite true, they wanted to avoid punishing the woman involved because Roe v. Wade clearly gives a woman the legal right to an abortion.  They thought they could make it so onerous on anyone helping her, that it would effectively prevent abortions.

But they forgot that women can have their own agency, they can take matters into their own hands, and they aren't necessarily completely helpless dependent actors.

And then some overzealous  Starr County prosecutors who clearly didn't understand the law went to all the trouble of arresting and charging a woman with a crime that is explicitly not a crime in Texas. I think she should sue them for false arrest and make Starr County pay millions in damages.

Women will no longer need abortions with more dudes like you around Ricky.

Yep, we’re back to the days of coat hangers to root out some of the unwanted.   The rest will get to spend their lives knowing they were unwanted from day one.
