There isn't an oil company

a gas company, a coal comany that will sell you equipment that will funish you with energy for free.  Solar, wind and geothermal will.To stop such inovation and reserch would be illogical. The future is down the road and we had better prepare for it.

Innovation will make it less expensive.. Whether global climate change is a factor or not, less costly energy will send fossil fuels the way of the buggy whip.

Tesla dreamt about "free" electrical energy for the population of the world. Negativism will kill anything in it's infancy. I guess that is the difference between the doers and the naysayers. One side thinks most anything is possible and the other side won't give anything new a chance.

Re: There isn't an oil company

Less costly energy will send fossil fuels the way of the buggy whip.  TRUE

If one would come up with a widget to do so shouldn't they be compensated for it?  Or will the global leaders just give us one?

How will they make it for free? And after they do will there be a "widget tax"? or a tax for "non widgeting" people?

When it is figured out I'm sure somebody is gonna make a buck and some government is gonna tax the crap out of it.

Everything you need for free energy is available for purchase today. All you have to do is tell your energy company to pull the meter.

Re: There isn't an oil company

You mean government should have no role in promoting or advncing new innovations. Have you ever heard of the oil depletion allowance or sweet heart deals on drilling rights on federal lands.? Or securing rights of emminent domain for pipeline and the like?

End the subsidies. Let the market decide.

Re: There isn't an oil company

I'm just guessing but there is a fair chance rhat 30 is sitting in a spot illuminated by and on a device powered by juice that got to that spot thanks to the TVAj, or at least thanks to The Rural Electrification Act.  Subsidized to the nines in their creation.  Camped out along a road constructed by his township or county, again subsidized by his state and federal governments.

Horrible investments, those.
