These next few days could be intriguing

No indication that the European Central Bank, led by the Germans isn't going to let the "PIGS" slide off of the operating table and leave the room.

That won't be something that will have strictly local implications.

Re: These next few days could be intriguing

I have to wonder if they're hoping to make an example of Greece perhaps let Italy and Spain see the consequences of not surrendering national ownership. Maybe the ecb thinks they can contain the fallout from a Greek default, no way they could Italy or Spain. Or maybe it is the end if the line. I'm probably as ready as its possible to be.

China buying gold, Saudis threatening cutting U$

There's several stories about China buying gold and there is the story about a Saudi official warning the US that if Palestine gets shut out at the UN they would no longer able to maintain relations with Washington because their people like other Arab nations are deadly serious about Justice for Palestine.  They've had it with 62 years of brutal oppression of other Arabs, it's about the Tribal loyalties of Arabs, not religion, each tribe has their age old personal religious prejudices still dividing them, but they have always defended each other when it gets down to blood.  The scuttle is the Saudis will take their  wealth out of the U$ dollar along with China, Russia, India, etc. Asian and African nations.

The Palestine UN vote has the potential of being a watershed moment in division of future Global Political Influence.  Just a few days away, it's certainly interesting.
