Re: Yer a Good Man Cowfarmer

BA, Your post should have read:

God help us all IF YOU Vote Republican in 2012 for the sake of your Grandkids.

Re: This forum is just so sad

Can you prove that 10 shot clips have no other use than killing people?

I've never killed anyone with my 10 shot clips which are very nice to have when target practicing, but my 30 round clips are even more convenient but a little too heavy and cumbersome and a pain to load, 20 rounders are about all I care to use.  That's in a rifle, I do not own a pistol with a high capacity mags, but my 22 pistols mag  holds 10  rounds.   It only take a second or so to change clips anyway, when the Denver police broke into the wrong apartment and killed a old man some of them emptied more than one clip into him.

It really doesn't matter what you "see', a lot of people "see" no use for more than 50-100 horse power engines in other people's car or ones that can exceed the speed limit.  How many hp does your GTO have?  My 210hp car will do 155mph, I guess, it did once.

Re: This forum is just so sad Obamacare and Patriot Act

"I'll right in my own name!"  Such nonsense! You won't even reveal your name on a farmers forum and your going to expose yourself in the political arena. A typlical flannel mouth that is all blow and no go. Or al;l hat and no cattle.

I just wonder what do you think the outcome would have been without the tarp. I think it would have been a complete failure of the financial markets resulting in a world wide depression.

Re: This forum is just so sad

You doubled the national debt in 8 years and the first two years you were riding on Clinton surpluses. Don't take my word for it , just look up the national debt history.

Plus Bush didn't start with a financial collapse and did not expense the 875 billion in tarp funds on his balance sheet. No sir! TRhere was alot of half assed accounting while the bushies did the war and war time corruption off the books.

You ought to know a bit more about what your talking about before you shoot off your mouth.

Got the idea from my brother in law who wrote in his name rather than vote for McCain or Obama. If the choice is between Romney and Obama ol 3020 is going to get a vote.......On second thought......may be I will write in Don Kraft. GTO for VP.

Re: This forum is just so sad

I can tell you exactly why both parties are so polarized, Knapper.  See, we blame the politics but the politicians are only repesenting us, that is how the incumbents have like a 90% chance of getting re-elected, they`re only doing what WE want `em to.   I always say it`d be great if we went back to the 1950`s...am I speaking in "code" of course I am.  The "Modern Family" is more than a popular tv show.  You might have a sister that`s married to a Black guy, a gay brother, a cousin living with a illegal alien, your folks are divorced and your wife is an atheist.  Now some variation of that is a big chunk of America today, Democrats appeal to THAT demographic.  That demographic wants change from the ideals of the old, dead, white guys that grace our currency.  That demographic will NOT consider giving the stale Republic party any more chances, it`s "Democrat all the way Baby!!".  Us Republicans are very put off with these strange new creations that were out of sight as late as 1990.  But all of a sudden us Traditionalists are just about a minority, we clinge to the memories of Ronald Reagan.  Perhaps in the next election it will reveal that we have become a minority, it is presently so close that it depends on which party has the most that say "Meh!" and stay home. Re: This forum is just so sad

Look at the people who don't earn enough with their deductions that they don't owe anything and consider that they are in the 10% bracket so the country is losing about 10% of their taxes.  Now consider that 1.5% of the country earn more than a million dollars and they average about 14% or a deduction of about 21% off their bracket of 35%.  I would imagine that amounts to more or about the same as those low income folks and their 10% would pay.

"they`re [congress] only doing what WE want `em to." - BA Deere

Please explain Congress' 9% approval rating if they are doing what WE want......

No one out there with a voice loud enough to be heard is representing US. Voices of reason on either side are generally ignored. Look at how most republicans treat Huntsman. He is OK, but he gets nowhere.

If we went back to the 1950s, most black people in the South would not be able to walk on the same sidewalk as a white person, or eat in the same restaurant walk in the same door of a house.

You have a skewed idea of what "most" democrats want. I hardly think you can be impartial to even a tiny degree, considering what you usually post. Try asking some some real democrats, rather than radicals (or your view of stereotypes), what they think. I am a general middle of the road democrat and would humor some questions. I also long for the return of real republicans. I kind of liked those guys and have some fond memories of some of them...speaking of Reagan who would be labeled a rhino now.

Re: This forum is just so sad

Smiley Very Happy  Explain Iowa`s Tom HarkinD and Charles GrassleyR, they have been our senators since dirt was created.  The 9% approval is what you get when you ask approval of Congress we blame those from other states but their own politicians that bring home the bacon, they love.   About some black folks couldn`t go to the same restaurant as white folks in the 50`s.  Well flash forward to the Iowa State fair in 2010, it was "Beat whitey night" and some whiteies did get beat.  If you`re really a middle road Democrat, surely you can see that it is not the same party of even Bill Clinton.  How do you guys figure that Reagan would be labled as a rino today?  In the interest of time, feel free to point out where you disagree: "Reagan worked with Democrats" todays Democrats can not be worked with, Republicans were shut out of Obamacare "negotiations"  and of all the gaul were expected to support it.  "Reagan allowed taxes raised" well he was in charge, if todays R`s raised taxes, they would lose in droves.  The Democrats never willingly worked with Reagan, he was a gifted oritor that could go directly to the American people and look them in the eye and tell them exactly what needed done and the American people picked up the phone and called the Democrats and backed their President up!!

Re: This forum is just so sad

I see both parties pulling farther apart not just one.  I get just as uncomfortable when Repubs fall under the control of or make promises to people like Norquist or religious leaders looking to make a name for themselves as I do when Dems allow far left fringe groups to gain to much control over their voting records.

Speaking about guns laws I just read an AP story about the promises Obama made for stricter gun laws and back ground checks after the shooting of Congresswoman Giffords and others last January.   The article said that Obama had yet to act on that promise much to the disappointment of many on the left.  The AP story reported about how Dems had suffered at the polls in past elections after making stricter gun laws and doubted we would see Obama push for any tougher gun laws until after the 2012 election.   While this will not sit well with many Dems in favor of stricter gun laws it was reasoned that Obama was in to close an election to risk upsetting the NRA and its many members.
