Re: A special flock
Sorry, ba, you are the ones with your priorities screwed up, Family comes first, before anything else. Then maybe God, but I'm not so sure about that one, country should have a large part of your attention. What I can tell you is what is in this website that should open your blind eyes.
Religion is losing ground because no one can prove with out a shadow a doubt, God excists. There will always be doubt, because it's a myth.

Re: A special flock
No, there will always be doubt because some do not have faith. Religious belief in a God or gods have always ebbed and flowed over time. Outside stimuli and stresses in societies bring about this ebb and flow. We are relitively fat and happy. When the SHTF you will likely see a resurgence.

Re: A special flock
Au contraire. The SHTF in 1992 a when the best of the brethren convinced the unwashed that we were suddenly being led by popularly elected agnostic heathens and pagans. We are currently clawing our way out of that ditch. The young seculars who are the next draft of the politically active are not going to turn to child diddlers and apologists for a plutocratic hierarchy, which is what the greater mass of American Christianity has become.

Re: A special flock
yes, that is pretty true about religion, or as Patton supposedly wryly commented "there are
no atheists in foxholes."
Dougout Macarthur...probably not so much, as he was like a Kennedy in his personal life
and evidently didn't worry about the threat of eternal damnation.

Re: A special flock
Another strawman. Trying to shift the blame of failure from progressive socialism to the Christian faith.

Re: This should really make you guys day!
GTO, I`ll run down Republicans with you all day, but we also have to run down Democrats that will take the rest of our lives, because every day they sink to lower morals than even thought possible. I`m a Republican for the Guns and lower taxes, Republicans have those 2 issues right. But politicans regardless of party only care about getting re-elected and that is it, Ron Paul was about the only one that could tell the truth and do what is right and still get elected.
I mean if politics is your job and voting against a war will mean that you probably won`t get re-`elected...most will make their deal with the devil and find a way to vote for the war.

So if I punch you in the face you will just stand there and take it? Come on what your preach is not how you would react.

Nope. Just a simple observation of what's going on out in the street.

He'd most likely react, but might take a bit and make sure he was hitting the right guy and not simply someone that looked like you. Or worse, someone he previously wanted to hit and use you, somehow, for an excuse to do it.

3020 you do realize that natural selection got us the pheasant cock with his big tail feathers good only to impress the female hens but developed by natural selection.
Humans developed co-operation and caring for others as a means to help raise young who needed care and sustanence longer than 1 or 2 parents could guarantee.
All natural selection.
