Re: Many of us didn't think that way

That was exactly what I was thinking about, Einstein. Traitors such as Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Adams, Hancock, Paine....etc

Guys that risked their necks to give America its independence from some addled King and tyrannical taxation from across the ocean.

Of course my ancestors who were loyal and forced to move were able to achieve independance from those 'addled kings' too and did it with out bloodshed and forcing others to leave their homes.

Peace and good order.

Re: How many rapists have you shot?

That would make sense, because most of the time, they would not 'see' the gun used to prevent a crime, but probably gets called to most every instance of a child discharging a firearm.

Also, which Sherriff said that?   It was definately not the Sheriff where I live.   He strongly favors private citizens who own guns, stating that they have 'helped' nim on more than one occasion, and he has yet to see an incidence of a child or family member in good standing harmed by a gun in their house.    He does know of a couple incidences, of a wife beating husband, who was held at gunpoint for the police, and one that was shot by his wife, when he went through a restraining order, and was kicking in her door, but he doesn't consider that a 'member of the family' being shot, because of the circumstances.

However, from what I can gather, when you read the statistics of a 'family member' or 'someone you know' being shot by a gun you own, these sort of incidents are counted.   While technically it may be correct, does that REALLY mean that the gun made the household less safe?  Or does it mean, that maybe the wife, or ex-wife knew what her spouse or ex-spouse was capable of, and wanted a way to protect herself?

Also, how are crime/gunshot statistics, part of 'disease prevention'?

Re: Many of us didn't think that way

What do you think the odds of that happening would have been without the example of the American Revolution?

Not to argue with you...just to stimulate some of those brain neurons.

bs

You're still live under a monarch and tell the Ojibwa, cree and various Algonquin tribes you didn't take your home from anyone.

Re: How many rapists have you shot?

The entire state of Wyoming verses the city of Chicago on the likelihood of a woman being forcibly raped???  Everyone in Wyoming is basically armed while NO ONE except criminals are armed in the city of Chicago...so if you`re a hot 23yr old blonde gal in a miniskirt where would you feel the most safe, Wyoming or the city of Chicago?? ...None of you liberals will answer me, cause your whole gun control argument will fall on it`s face. Nuff said.

Just as I thought

Smart aleck reply to avoid serious thought on solutions.  That`s okay though, any other liberals want to take a crack at defending gun grabbing??  If you do take all the guns from everyone in Wyoming, will the amount of rape cases go up or down?

The liberals are proving our point. They are solely based on emotion.

Re: Just as I thought

The first problem, BA, is you didn't give us anything to compare! How many rape cases are there in WY. Ho many are there in Chicago? Per capita, could surprise us.
