Re: Those dangerous Bernie supporters

That is undoubtedly because they realize that if he gets in, the party and the country are toast and they really don't want it!!!

Re: Those dangerous Bernie supporters

In `72 I believe I was in Mrs Larson`s 2nd grade class, was that Edmund Muskie`s experience?

Well, I took solace in the fact that the majority of Americans didn`t vote for Barack Obama...that 45% of elgible Americans didn`t bother voting (political athiests or political agnostics) and just a little under half voted for McCain or Romney respectfully.   But, you know, things are run by those that show up wear out the shoe leather and win, Obama did win and that comes with the privilage of winning ..even though well over half the country didn`t vote for him.

Trump played the rules, won and so far is the Republican presumptive nominee...may well go on to be president and will get to do as Obama has done.  And I am okay with that.   But, Trump has all the Democrats just hating him, establishment Repubs hating him, the media working against him.   However he has tapped into Republicans with calloused hands and into the 45% of non-voting political atheists.

But when George Will, Bill Krystal, PJ ORourk etal...normally sensible Republicans threatening to voting for Hillary, seriously???? Hillary would match up with say George Will`s views better than Donald Trump???   Me thinks those with a 33º membership in an organization that drive little cars in parades and wear fez caps are a bit nervous of a trump presidency.  Me and the "Sons of Norway" aren`t so bothered.   🙂

Re: Those dangerous Bernie supporters

The establishment on both parties did the rules as they are to stay in power themselves...can`t speak for the Dems but the GOP did it to keep the "crazy" Ron Paul out.   Trump played those rules like a red belt in Ju-Jitsu.

More than just a bit flabberghasted that someone so steeped into the "just know" set wouldn't have the Presidential matchups of his lifetime tucked away among all of that other knowledge.

You need to take that up with Barbara Boxer. She is the one who said she feared for her safety even though she was surrounded by security. Must have been bad. She was glad there were some good guys there with guns.

Re: Those dangerous Bernie supporters

Agree with you on that to a degree.  The rules set up by party swells have certainly routed the the process this go round on the D side. Ms. Wasserman-Shultz makes your Prebius look like a saint. Bernie Sandershas done remarkably  well considering he walked into a totally rigged setup.

Not sure that the GOP leadership could have done anything about Trump.  The free media coverage of his every move and word has been worth 100s of millions.  Coverage, serving as free advertising he couldn't have bought for any price. Once he realized he could set the terms of the debates with the complicity of the networks it was sayonara for the other 16 clowns on the bus.   ABC and CNN should send him a bill.

Re: Those dangerous Bernie supporters

Bernie Sanders has done horrible. There has never been a weaker candidate ever then the rapist enabler money and power hungry thief than Hillary Clinton. He should have buried her and every supporter she has. The trouble is he is an extreme left wing radical socialist/fascist/communist running to her left.

Re: Those dangerous Bernie supporters

I kind of hope that Clinton is ousted and Sanders gets to run against

Trump, just to expose Sanders to the nation and get a clear contrast

to a centrist like Trump.

Trump will do pretty well in a matchup with Sanders among basically

anyone that has a real job, not a government gig. Working blacks will

vote for Trump, same with working, legal hispanics.

Whites and Asians have already been voting for whatever crap sandwich

the Republicans put up in previous elections. This one will be no different,

perhaps even more pronounced, depending on what opposition is put

up.

If it's Clinton, and/or Sanders....basically its time to phone it in.

And as far as "liberal Christians", I think they are not apt to vote for an

atheistic Jew, or for a lying selfproclaimed Christian.  But if you are an

atheistic small "c" christian.....maybe so.
