Give who the ability? Apple already has the ability. The FBI must be restrained unless they have a search warrant. Plus the law says the FBI can not force apple to crack the phone if it puts and undue burden on apple.

So, you just know they have the ability---how?   Apple says they have to write a problem to get around the 10 failed attempts in order to keep the phone from self destructing.  Of course you don't believe that but you believe the FBI is true to their word.

The question boils down to from whom do we face the greatest danger, the FBI or the terrorist. I side with apple. Shackle the FBI.
