Re: Truman diary

I think that is true however I'd sugggest that the Palestinians are the least among us.

Ideas and particularly religious ideas have real consequences. I think a good place to look to begin understanding the capture of conservative US christianity by christian zionist ideas would be the Scofield Study Bible.

http://www.israelshamir.net/shamirReaders/english/Cathail--Scofield-Zionist-Bible.php

"If there had been no Scofield Bible, American presidents influenced by Christian Zionism, such as Truman, Johnson, Reagan and George W. Bush, would most likely have been less sympathetic to Israeli demands, and consequently more attentive to U.S. interests. Moreover, the American people might have been spared the well-publicized pro-Israeli rants of John Hagee, Pat Robertson and the late Jerry Falwell, not to mention the lucrative End Times "prophecy" peddled by Hal Lindsey and Tim LaHaye.

But it is the people of the Middle East who have suffered most at the hands of an expansionist Israel, emboldened by the unswerving allegiance of America’s Christian Zionists, who were led to believe that Scofield’s words were God’s will."

Most of the muslim's misery is brought on by muslims. It is the muslims who kill most of the muslims. It is muslims who force muslims to live in poverty.

Three billion muslims live in this world and only a few of them come close to fitting the bigoted racist lies you cultivate and love to use to spread your fear and loathing.  GROW UP !

No Canuck, God is perfect, there can be no blame placed on perfection. All will be brought about by the free will He has given to mankind. God has allowed us to know what will happen so we can prepare.

Just read your post to BA from Ann Barnhardt.

She sure is good with the spin and double speak all about this perfect 'god' that is in charge/control of everythinh except what he/she/it is not in control of BUT of course it is all part of the 'plan' even when he/she/it is not in control.

Why do I feel dizzy after reading that bit of rubbish?

You see Canuck, God is in control but allows us free will. You are free to choose your own destiny. You can not explain that away. Truth is a stubborn thing and God is truth.

You keep spinning.

There is no evidence of any god being in control or allowing 'free will' that the god then realigns its plans to fit with this 'free will'

I do not even know of any claims in your good book like that.

Those stories are made up by men and women to try to explain the unexplainable.

Earth is a test Canuck, let`s say that you are looking to hire an employee and it is imperative that he be extremely honest before you trust him with the keys to the store.  The only way I know would be to test him with little and move him up the ladder as he proves himself.  See, this world although grinds slow is probably passing by in real "Heaven time".  Get ahold of the non-religious "Matrix" movie where everyone is hooked up to tubes and imagining what we call the real world, that is probably a illustration.  As far as God being "in control", Canuck think if you had 2 vegetable fields.  The first field is out in the open prone to too much or little rain, too hot or cold tempatures.  Your second field is under a greenhouse that you get to micro-mange, control moisure and temps.  Check the plant`s "Brix" reading and if the plant is "Praying" that it needs something you(god) can provide it and can raise a bumper crop.  Where as the outdoor field has "free will" and your plants may or may not give a bumper crop.  I believe we are in the "outdoor" field, my only question is how many times God checks our Brix readings.  All I know is that He has been better to me than I deserve.

And how do you know it had anything to do with any god since your god allows you 'free will' is it not your decisions that gave you all those good things?

You still want to have it both ways and you can not go both forward and backward at the same time.

IF there is a god he/she/it is either in control or not in control.

You make the call since it is a non issue to me but you should at least be consistent.

Good morning, friend.

I believe in the one true God of the universe. There are many man made gods. Some people use money as their god, others use government as their god. Still others think their possessions is their god. As far as satan goes, he is not a god. But, God has allowed him to have influence on people because we have free will. I constantly am fighting against what my flesh (which is satan trying to lead me astray) wants in this world and what my spirit,(which is Jesus living in me) wants for me. I must stay rooted in God's living word to keep my eyes on Jesus. And stay accountable to other Christian men.

I hope this helps you. Thanks for asking. Have a great day.

You are a true 'believer' but it is hard to give super natural powers to other entities and then claim there is only one god.

You would be better to claim your 'god' is the best rather than the only one if this Satan keeps showing up.

I prefer to stay accountable to all men and women.

You can't explain God or faith to a close mind without kindness or generosity and only then if you're one and only goal is to Glorify God rather than yourself.  Arriving at eternal life is not a race with the prize only going to the best and fastest for the best and fastest can only arrive by pulling and helping the group they despise the most.

I am never sure which post is to me but if this was to me I would say my mind is not closed.

I do look around I read about the universe, I read about history and my mind is open to any reliable proven concept.

On the other hand I find believers in religion to have very closed minds.

They hang on to old wives tales, old written scipts that have no proof behind them even after those tales have been proven wrong.

That seems closed to me.

BTW I am still awaiting any proof of an eternal life so there does not appear to be any 'prize'
